The grants and loans provided by the Catherine White Holman Legacy Fund are meant to support Canadian LGBTQ individuals that are living in poverty in making positive changes in their lives, or in overcoming problems.

To be eligible for a grant or loan, we are looking for individuals who meet the criteria below:

-Identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer or any variation thereof;  such as genderqueer, intersex, gender variant, Two Spirit, butch, femme, polyamorous, bi-gendered, androgynous-  you get the idea…

-Be experiencing financial hardship and/or living in poverty; such as unemployed or under-employed, or living on social assistance.

*Please note, preference will be given to those that are experiencing multiple barriers such as members of visible minorities (First Nations folks, people of colour, visibly trans, etc.) People with disabilities, youth, elders, women, those with children, folks with mental health or addiction issues, folks involved in survival sex work, people that are homeless, etc.
