Catherine’s Legacy

Catherine White Holman (b. April 18 1954 – d. November 29 2009) was a founding member and community counselor at Three Bridges Community Health Centre in Vancouver, Canada. She was killed in a small plane crash off Saturna Island. The wisdom and compassion that she shared in her professional and personal life will be profoundly missed. (More about Catherine)

The impact of Catherine’s loss on her family, loved ones, friends, acquaintances, co-workers and community is extraordinary. She constantly changed lives for the better, and the folks who donate to this grant, and we, the folks who help run it, are in turn offering that assistance to the community to which Catherine felt she belonged. (More about the fund administrators)

The Catherine White Holman Legacy Fund was created to help Canadian LGBTQ individuals living in poverty.

Available Grants: There are four types of grants available from the Catherine White Holman Legacy Fund: Arts and Culture, Self-Development, Crisis Grants, and Interest-Free Loans. (More information about grants, eligibility, and how to apply.)

The fund is supported entirely by donations. Please donate to the Catherine White Holman Legacy Fund if you want to help make a difference to the lives of queer folk, or organize a fundraiser (such as the recent bowling night organized by Catherine’s co-workers). Every little bit helps.
