The Catherine White Holman Legacy fund is run entirely on a volunteer basis by family and friends of Catherine.

Shaira (SD) Holman is Catherine Holman’s spouse (or Husbutch as Catherine called her).
Devastated by the tragic death of her beloved wife Catherine, Shaira went on a walk. A long walk (2700 km across Canada). Read the details on the  Walk for Love here. Shaira was creating awareness, and kicking off the newly created fund. In this small way, Shaira wants to help others to keep Catherine’s memory and work alive. Shaira created this fund as part of that work.  Shaira is the Artistic Director and a participating artist of the Pride in Art Society (PiA), which runs the Queer Arts Festival, an annual three-week, multidisciplinary arts festival in Vancouver, Canada. Shaira is a professional Photo-Based and performing artist, and a graduate of ECIAD.

Nikki Gravelle knew Catherine both personally and professionally for 16 years and had great respect and admiration for her. Nikki is currently working for Vancouver Coastal Health as coordinator for Prism Alcohol and Drug Service’s SHARP (Shelter, Housing and Residential Program) Access Project. The SHARP Access Project delivers educational workshops to social service providers and clients on how to be respectful and welcoming to LGBTQ2S folks in social service based housing settings; improving safety, access and inclusion for all. Nikki identifies as a queer femme, a SOFFA, and an ally to trans and Two Spirit people. Nikki has worked in the field of Mental Health and Addictions for the last 17 years, including rural/remote settings, harm reduction, housing, rehabilitation and outreach.

Joh is a queer femme who lives in the Fraser Valley. She juggles small farm management, three jobs, parenting a teen, and driving far too many miles to spend time with her friends. She has been Catherine’s friend for more than 25 years, and misses her more than words can say.
